Jacob Zamarripa is a lighting designer based in Austin, TX. His designs have been recognized around Houston and at the ZACH Theatre in Austin. For the past 4 years, he has been the resident technical director and lighting designer for the JET-PAC in Houston. He was recognized by the Houston Chronicle in 2022 for his professionally run tech program at the JET-PAC. Jacob is currently studying at UT Austin to receive a BA in Theatre and Dance. Notable lighting design credits include regional productions of "Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812," “The Thin Place” (ZACH Theatre), “Bonnie and Clyde” (The Garden Theatre), “Ride the Cyclone,” “Next to Normal,” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” and “Little Shop of Horrors,” (The JET-PAC). Original lighting design credits include "Choreomaniac 1518" (UT Theatre and Dance), "Una Noche Buena" (ZACH Theatre), “The Musical that Must Not Be Named,” “Believe,” and “Sole Mates: The Musical” (The JET-PAC).
